DESCRIPTION:Teacher: Ayya Ānandabodhī \nClear Mountain Monastery has invited Ayya Ānandabodhī to give the Dhamma talk at their weekly Saturday morning gathering.  \nSaturday\, Nov. 15\, 9:30 am – noon at Amistad School’s Skinner Auditorium by St. Mark’s Cathedral\, 1501 10th Ave E. Those unable to attend in-person are also welcome to tune in via Zoom or YouTube livestream. To participate in chanting\, use this online Chanting Book. \nEach Saturday from 9:30 am – noon\, local practitioners gather together at Amistad School’s Skinner Auditorium at the 1501 10th Ave E\, across the North parking lot from Saint Mark’s cathedral\, for a community meditation\, teaching\, and coffee social. Gatherings begin with a guided sit from 9:30 – 10 am designed to accommodate and empower a wide variety of practices\, from Buddhist meditation to centering prayer. \nThe morning continues with a Dhamma teaching and Q&A from 10 – 11 followed by a chance\, for those who want\, to discuss life and practice over coffee from 11 – noon. In the spirit of Dhamma\, all teachings are offered completely free of charge\, with nothing expected in return\, though those inspired may give in-person or online. For directions and information on what to bring\, see below. Those unable to attend in-person are welcome to tune in via Zoom or YouTube livestream. Welcome!   \nMeal Offering\nIf one wishes to offer food for the monastics’ daily meal\, there will be a chance to offer at 8:45 am. As alms mendicants\, they accept what is offered\, though some may try to maintain a vegetarian diet. \nWhat to Bring\n– A cushion to sit on if you want\, though chairs will be available as well\, and your love of practice!\n– (For those who want!) Food offerings can be brought for monastic’s meal and potluck! \nParking\nThose driving may enter the campus at the north between the cathedral and the St. Nicholas Building – the location of the Gage Academy and Seattle Amistad School. They may then drive all the way to the back of the cathedral. Parking is free for Clear Mountain attendees even though signs in the lot indicate payment is required. If the “carriage gateway” behind the St. Nicholas building is open\, participants are encouraged to park there. DESCRIPTION:Teacher: Ayya Ānandabodhī \nWelcome to join us for an afternoon of meditation and Dhamma in Seattle. This is an invitation to settle and ground our attention in our body and breath\, to deepen awareness and to open our hearts in a shared environment of kindness and peace. The world pulls us and spins us around. Through meditation and mindfulness\, we can find our center again and rediscover the place of peace within us. \nThe afternoon of practice is offered by Parayana Vihara for both new and experienced practitioners. Ayya Anandabodhi will be offering guided meditations\, silent meditation\, Dhamma teachings\, and Q&A. Because the Dhamma is priceless\, teachings are freely offered. Your donations are appreciated to support the event. No registration required. All are welcome\, 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
