Exploring the Suttas with Ven. Silananda

Ven. Silananda will offer a guided meditation and lead a Sutta reading and discussion while Ayya Anandabodhi is away teaching at the Insight Meditation Society. There will also be an option to take refuge in the Three Jewels and the five lay precepts at the beginning of the program. We will be exploring Sutta 87 from the Majjhima Nikaya “Born from Affection.” All are welcome to join.

Schedule:
1:00 pm: Dhamma program including taking five lay precepts (optional), chanting, meditation, Sutta reading, and Sutta discussion
3:00 pm: Vihara closes. The library is open until 5:00 pm

We are located at 1442 Gise St in Port Townsend. Please be considerate of our neighbors and others when parking. Street parking is available for about 4 cars at the Vihara. Additional street parking is available on surrounding streets and the Haines Place Park & Ride is a short walk away.

The teachings are freely given. If you would like to offer dana, there is a dana basket at the Vihara or you may offer online at our donation page.
